Dubs are nearly always either hilarious or actually decent.

And besides, if it wasn't for dubs we wouldn't have PATRICK COLASOUR THE ACE OF THE AEU, YOU'RE THE MOST NAUSEATING LITTLE BRAT I'VE EVER SEEN, the exciting adventures of STEVE ARMSTRONG fighting ZARDOZ (and conversely ERIKAAAA and RICHAAAAAARD), the display of terrible accents that was SDF Macross, the hilarious overacting of OVERMAN _KING_ GAINER, and the absolutely awesome Gundam movie dub with British Bright.

(most of those are examples of "so-bad-it's-good" dubs, but I'd like to venture FLAG as a show which had a genuinely awesome dub, see also 0080 War in the Pocket and to be honest Char's Counterattack)

Japanese voicing anyday, the japanese voices are suited to the characters. the english dub however is just rubbish (my opinion u dont have to agree with me) more of then than not the voices do not match the character profile, female voices are too high pitched making u want rip ur ears off. male voices are misplaced. english dubs just make me angry, Original japanese voices, with english Sub is perfect for me

In the vast majority of anime, I like the original Japanese. But more and more frequently, American companies have been doing a better job of their own dubs. For example, I can watch either version of One Piece and be just happy, and I actually prefer the English dub of Fullmetal Alchemist (both series). But some, like Slayers, Fruits Basket, and Ruoruni Kenshin, I still like the orgininal Japanese waaaay better (and I first saw Kenshin in English too).

The only anime I'll watch dubbed is Cowboy Bebop. But the Japanese version of that is just as good.

I'm bias, because I'm a Japanese major, so it's a waste if I don't expose myself to as much of the language as I can. But I have found (in my opinion) that most English dubs to not be as good as the Japanese.

One thing I did hate was the Howl's Moving Castle dub. If Christian Bale is Welsh, why not use his Welsh accent for Howl instead of... bah! I saw Ponyo in English at the cinema and I was actually surprised with how much better it was. Mainly because they kept a bit of the Japanese in there that would translate awkwardly. Like sensei, for example.

I've always loved to watch it with the Japanese language with English subtitles. It lets me know what they're saying, and admire the language because it just fits with the characters.

Most times, English voice actors make the characters sound terrible.

if i try to watch the anime with English subs, but still in Japanese, i find that i'm only reading the dialogue most of the time instead of seeing the actual anime. so i prefer English dubs :)

I like both. I really can't choose. But I do think people should give dubs a chance instead of just automatically hating them.

I often watch the Japanese version first, but I'm not averse to watching some series in English; on occasion, like with Full Metal Panic, I actually prefer them that way.
