In case you haven't heard, a mod for Ocarina of Time has been released, called LoZ: Voyager of Time! I'm currently playing through it, and I've enjoyed it so far!
"Video Teaser"
"Here's the Tumblr post on how to download it" I would recommend using the Project64 Emulator rather than Nemu64, because it wouldn't work for me for whatever reason :/

Have fun!

Just in case if anyone missed the first tour, the Symphony of the Goddesses will be making another tour!

If you didn't have a chance to go last time, I highly suggest going to this concert if you can. I was literally in tears because it was so damn beautiful (even just listening to the music now I get misty eyed). Plus, there were Zelda fans EVERYWHERE, and I felt right at home
This time around, there's supposedly new content according to a previous Facebook posting from the Symphony of the Goddesses fan page.

I'll be going to the Seattle concert once again (Driving/Flying from Montana, woo!)
On another note, Sakura-Con's in a week. AHH ITS MY FIRST CONVENTION PFFFHHTHTTT  :faint:
I'll most likely be buying the shit up on everything and running around the Zelda meet up :3
(I just hope I can fit all of my phat loots in my luggage when I leave on my plane >_>;; )

Zelda Story in the making! Any tips?

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 20, 2013, 9:41 AM
  • Listening to: "Earth" Berserker Soundtrack
  • Reading: Parallel Universe Theories
  • Playing: Tera (it gave me the butt disease)
  • Drinking: COFFEE <3

So, I've been working on a Zelda story ever since 2001, but time and time again I've been having to revise it (Mostly because the Windwaker threw it into a complete cluster-fuck).
But for the past year, I started over with the story and completely changed it. I wrote down the main plot of the story yesterday, along with some mini stories that would go into it (Main quest and side quests).
Does anybody have any tips on getting a story more refined, or even started on drawing it out into graphic novel form? I would love to have this in graphic novel format, and be available for sale (the cost of the graphic novel will only reflect production cost, no profit would be gained).

Before putting this story onto paper, I will of course finish my mini Lolly comic that I started a year ago (oh god I'm so busy/lazzzyyyy).
Besides the mini story with Lolly, I've been horribly stuck with the main story, along with being busy with my previous day job, and now full time freelance job (but, yay!).

I still have maybe another 15 pages to add onto it, which I could get done within a month or two if I tried. However, commissions are my top priority, so that usually puts my side projects aside.

So, what is your guys suggestion? Should I finish my Lolly mini comic, and then work on my Zelda graphic novel while working on freelance work?
Or, should I completely finish the Lolly saga, while work on commissions?

Thanks

Sakura-Con! Who's going?

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 18, 2013, 5:28 PM

So I'll be at this year's Sakura-Con in Seattle, WA.
Who's all going? I'm going to be cosplaying as Classic Link, with a more detailed look:
(I'll add some more touch ups, but this is my basic look)
I'll most likely be dressed in this cosplay all three days. After the event, I plan on running around Seattle with an old friend of mine :iconcaelestistrucido: (she's going to be a badass Poe at the event! )
I'd love to meet some of you guys there, just run up to me and say hi! By the way, I'm also extremely huggy   !

YEEE! I've been wanting to get this forever >w< <3

 photo tattoo_zps48cc9e60.jpg

I'm so freakishly happy with it. It was totally worth it too :3!
The photo was taken with my crappy camera phone, so I'll get a better photo of it soon.
The tattoo was $80, plus I tipped the artist another $20. My brother had given me a $60 giftcard for christmas, so that really helped :)
The overall process took ~35 minutes, so not too bad.

Also, forgive my absence. I've been very busy with freelance work :D

I Am Now A Freelance Artist

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 24, 2013, 11:15 PM
  • Listening to: Dragon Roost Island

So as of late, I've been getting a lot more work artistic wise. I love this type of work, because it uses my greatest talent, my artistic ability.
So I've given it a ton of thought, and I finally put my 2 weeks' notice in at my retail day job, and I will now finally be a freelance artist. I am totally psyched out of my mind. I finally get to be my own boss and not abide to an unknown corporate person and have my financial life at stake constantly.
I've been working in retail ever since I was 16, I am now 22.
I am well aware of other people working in retail for much longer than that (most are in their 40's or 50's and have never left retail) but hey...I still have a life to live.
Personally, I hated every minute of it. To have people come up to you, almost always insult you in some way or never say 'thank you' after you went out of your way to help them (even though it's in your job description regardless), it really gets to you after awhile. And for me being the sensitive person that I am, it really took a toll on me.
I've honestly always been some sort of an introvert, and would rather go off and do my own thing (i.e. random adventures off into the blue, start my own projects, etc...) and to have to be treated like the butt hole of society, I just couldn't take it.
The weight of having a retail day job off of my shoulders is an extreme relief on my well being. I finally feel free, and not nearly as stressed out. I would some days have miniature panic attacks before heading into work, especially if I had a problem customer the day before and me being in fear of running into them again. Granted I've never done ANYTHING to upset customers, but for some reason a majority of them like to attack me in some way. Either it be sexual harassment, or just plain rudeness/bullying. I do not feel safe in such environments, and the people who managed the store never did a thing to help me out because, "it could ruin their business with the customer if they intervened."
NO ONE, deserves to be treated like that, especially on a daily basis by complete strangers.
So with that depressing aspect out of my life, I will now truly focus myself on my talents. Yes, there is a ton of work to be done as a freelance, but I'm extremely confident in myself.
I've been doing some more fantasy/landscape paintings (both digital and traditional) and I plan on visiting a variety of art galleries either across state or neighboring states. I just had a meeting tonight with a local art group, and they all really loved my stuff and would like for me to contribute. In turn, this will gain me even more connections, which is a very valuable thing for a freelance artist such as myself.
I am ready to embrace this new life, and I couldn't be more happier

So I'm finally biting the bullet and will be attending my first ever anime convention, Sakura-Con!
Along with that, I'll probably be staying in Seattle for 2-3 weeks applying for jobs and overall just taking a break from Montana. I really do love this state, but sometimes I need to get away from a state that's 5 years behind in everything :/

For the convention, I plan on wearing a classic lolita coord that I have, and MAYBE cosplaying as Link...or Lina from The Slayers.
I do have a outfit of Holo from Spice and Wolf that I finished last year in my closet, but I should do some major touch ups on it ^^;.
Plus, it'd be kind of weird walking around as Holo and I don't have a Lawrence by my side >_>;

I hope to see some of you guys there :D!

turns out my fiance bought me this new computer for christmas T_T
I'm so not worthyyyy >_<;
I've been wanting to get a new desktop for ages, but the price tag always scared me off.
I've been working from my laptop ever since 2008, so I had a lot of illustrating and gaming restrictions because I never really put any money into beefing it up.
Also, I've been working from our dining room table ever since we moved back to our hometown, so it's been a little uncomfortable for me.
John assembled this computer for me and got a lot of awesome black friday deals online on newegg and from his parents
Sooo...expect moar illustrations!

Busy Again!

Mon Oct 29, 2012, 6:10 PM
  • Reading: Spice and Wolf Vol 4
  • Watching: Game Grumps
  • Playing: Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie

BAH! Sorry for my absence! (Good god as always...)
I've been very busy with my jobs. Holidays are coming up and it's been crazy >:V
HOWEVER! I'm finally beginning to get some awesome commission work in (Thanks guys!)
I'm currently illustrating for 2 books right now. One is for :iconnexusdarkworld: who is a professional mystery and sci-fi novelist (Go check him out, seriously!), and the other is also for a professional client who writes children's books that I am doing illustrations for, which will be available through the ibookstore soon!
I find all of this work very fun and exciting, and I couldn't be happier. I'm about ready to say good-bye to my retail job by falcon-punching it in the face and to become a stay at home artist.
I find that dealing with rude strangers is extremely stressful, and I don't work very well in environments like that, especially when I'm getting harassed all of the time by older men…I've got so many stories containing sexual and verbal harassment >_<;
Aside from my book illustrating, I've been experimenting and designing more dresses and accessories (mostly Lolita style, or something more alternative looking). I'll try to have some up for sale once my commissions quiet down and maybe I'll get my hours reduced at my retail job (UUNGHHH I hate it).
Something I've been neglecting lately though is traditional painting. I used to do it a ton back when I was in college, but my drive for it has died down, maybe because it's more expensive to do rather than digital art @_@;.
So sometime soon I plan to get a new desktop computer. I've had my laptop since 2008, and it's been having a hard time processing a lot of large files (I only have 2gb ram ><;). It also has a hard time running successful live streams as well, and that's a problem.
I'll let you guys know when the children's book I'm illustrating for will be available in the ibookstore. Wish me luck :D ! (If any of you want to commission me, please do! There will be a bit of a wait however due to my current workload).

OH! Another thing I wanted to mention, is that John and I decided to have our wedding Hobbit themed :iconawesomefaceplz:
However, we won't be dressed like hobbits, but the overall theme will be (Think of Bilbo's birthday in the beginning of the LotR trilogy!). He and I plan on making our own wedding cake a day or two beforehand in the bakery he works at....so that'll be fun xD (We both have huge baking backgrounds). My little sister and I are going to be making my wedding dress, which will be made of white and royal purple satin material with beading on the bust. I'll post a concept sketch of it sometime whenever I get around to it. I don't want my fiance to see it though >_>;
We plan to have our wedding in May 2013, so it's getting close!

Commission Information

Sat Sep 15, 2012, 10:58 PM

The following is a guideline about commissioning and some FAQ's.

:star: :iconawwyeaplz: Commissions are open!! :iconawwyeaplz: :star:

Thank you for your consideration of commissioning me, I greatly appreciate it and look forward to doing business with you! As an artist, I take pride in my style and work ethic, and I love showing it through my artwork.
YOUR RIGHTS TO YOUR COMMISSION
As the commissioner, you have the full right to use your commission in any way that you please. After the commission is completed by me, I no longer have the rights to it due to my work being done and for you paying for the image. I do however, request that you credit me as the artist of your commission through either allowing me to keep my signature on the image, crediting me in a DeviantART post, Youtube video, photo sharing website, novel illustration, or wherever else you might display it at.
How you should commission me

Things you will need to specify while commissioning me is:
What Style?
What Medium?
Back Ground?
And what pose?
I'm generally a fast worker.
I'm available for sketches, traditional paintings, soft shaded and cell shaded.
I am willing to negotiate prices.
I will charge a little more for erotic material.
Large commissions with multiple images will require a contract both signed by me, and the commissioner.
After your inquiry of the commission is made to me, I will sketch up a concept of your idea and either you have me revise it or continue on with the concept. Afterwards, I'll have you send me the payment for your commission and I will finish up your commission (this may take up to 1-10 days depending on your commission style/my work load). I will then send you a high resolution version in whatever format you would like to have it in through email and our business will be finished there.

FAQ

Q: How can I pay you?
A: Through Paypal, Cash, or Check through mail. I do not recommend cash through mail however due to sticky fingers at the post office.

Q: How long have you been drawing?
A: All of my life. I've always been good for my age from what people have told me. I seriously got into drawing and digital art when I was in the 8th grade, so around 14 years of age.

Q: Can we just do an art trade instead?
A: Not at this time, sorry 

Q: Can I just request something?
A: Sorry, I don't work for free. And also I'd be overwhelmed giving free artwork back and forth

Q: Hey, I paid already, where's my commission?
A: I might work at a slower pace due to real life situations, other commissions, or just difficulty. I will notify you if I am having any problems. If I am just unable to work on your commission, your money will be fully refunded.

Q: What will you draw?
A: Fanart, Original Characters, 'light' sexual content, chibi, dark/light pics, animals, basically anything.

Q: What will you not draw?
A: Mecha, heavy sexual content, a majority of anthropomorphic characters and anything racist or political.

Q: What programs/tools do you use?
A: Adobe Photoshop CS5, Wacom Intuos 3 Tablet, Mech Pencil, Inking Pens, Copic Markers, oil paints

Q: I've seen your Art on another site! Should I tell you?
A: Most definitely if you do not see any credit given to me at where my art is being displayed at. I really appreciate the effort of you reporting it to me.

Q: Can I use your art?
A: I usually allow it as long as credit and a link back to my DA page is listed along with what you do with the image.

Q: Can you teach me how to draw like you?
A: The only advice I can give really is just observing things closely and practice. It's taken me a very long time to get where I am with my art now.

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask me via note on DA.

NO REFUNDS AFTER COMPLETED COMMISSION

So for the past 2 weeks I've been suffering from major lower back pain most likely caused from my bed that I share with my fiance or from my day job.
My bed is 13 years old (gross, I know....but beds are expensive ><;!). It's a size full/double and when I lay on it I'm fine, but when John gets on it the entire bed sort of sinks in the middle, causing me to slightly roll towards him, making my spine a little crooked.
As for my day job, I'm constantly putting myself into awkward positions, lifting up heavy boxes (around 45 lbs) and pushing heavy objects on carts (stuff weighing around 500lbs together on one cart).
So as of late I've been trying to take it easy, wearing a heated pack on my back, taking baths with salts and having John rub my back.
So far nothing has worked, sitting at my computer and laying down hurts me a lot, so I apologize for any delays on commissions/ new artwork.

ALSO on a side note, my sewing machine has busted and I have nooooo clue how to fix it. Google's been a bit frustrating because I guess my problem with my sewing machine is specific?
I own a Singer 1725, and over the past year the adjustment that moves the needle from left, center, to right has been moving less every time I adjusted it. Now it won't move at all even when I flip the switch to move the needle from side to side. This causes my needle to not work well with my ruffle foot, and sometimes breaks against the needle plate that covers my lower bobbin. I've of course took out the needle and replaced it and messed with the ankle, but I'm pretty sure the problem lies inside  the machine. I've already took it apart as much as I could in fear of ruining the machine, but I can't get in far enough to see the real problem.
I was thinking about taking it in for repairs, but I really don't have $60-$90 right now >_>;;;

Any suggestions on my two issues? Anything helps :(

Examples:

I will draw fan ponies, the mane 6 or other characters from the show, or multiple ponies in one illustration!

If you wanted an illustration that had higher detail such as these

It will not count as a $10 commission, rather than a soft shaded commission (if you're interested in one though, please send me a note!) Extra ponies in an illustration will be an additional $5 each.

I am only able to take 10 commissions at a time, so please reserve a spot with a note!

So...let's be honest here. I don't see myself living in Montana working at a shitty customer service job for my entire life. That's poopy lame. So I've decided to go to Seattle in April for about a month and look around for job opportunities.
I'm mostly looking for conceptual or illustration positions for movies, video games and television, but I would also be available for textile works and culinary sweets. If there are any awesome Seattle people watching me, I would love to hook up and meet some of you! I ran into two awesome guys when I was there last time and we had a ton of fun :).

I hope to see some of you guys while I'm there! and I hope I can find something...
