The rain pounded and stung the wounded woman's tattered and scored back. The winds bellowed fiercely across the fields, which slammed into her sides and the brave horse that she was riding through the storm. Lighting flashed in the distance, and almost at times, only a half a mile away from where she was riding. Ever since John and I have starting living together, life has been hitting us hard and fast. We live in a snowy resort town up in the mountains, and just seeing the beauty of the snow capped mountains on a freezing night makes us feel very small, yet thankful for each other. We have no friends up here and we're all we've got.
